I was sitting in class today when I thought of this....
Do you ever think about how often most of us check our Facebook (myspace, blog, etc) to see what our friends have to say to us??
And think of how little we check our Bible's to see what our Creator has to say to us.
Doesn't make sense...does it?

Silence vs. Noise
I getting ready to shower today when I thought of this.
Speaking into the silence can be so much harder than speaking into the noise.
Take for example at youth convention.
The atmosphere at convention gives a person a natural spiritual "high."
We're more than willing to speak in tongues, to pray for others, to simply open our mouths and speak. But as soon as we get home from convention (or camp, w/e) we're surrounded by the silence, and it's so much harder to break it.
Yes, there are times when we need to wait in silence, but we often have to break it to worship our King.
I'll add more to this later.
Caio!

Matthew 5:44
And to be completely frank with y'all, my human nature doesn't want me to be living this verse. And honestly, until I started writing this, I didn't realize just how much I needed this verse (funny how God works all this out). Instead of dwelling on myself and how I may or may not be being mistreated, I need to pray for the other person. A while ago, God helped show me how to love everyone, regardless of my initial reaction to a person. He helped me to see a person for who they are, whether or not I would want to be "best friends" with them. So I had half this verse down. Now I just need to work on praying for those who "persecute" me.
You will probably never know what is going on in the life of someone that is giving you problems. So while you should try and resolve the conflict, also pray for that person.
Alright, if that helped you in some way...then my job is done.
Later y'all.

SNED Convention!!
Hey guys!
So I'm not entirely sure what I'm gonna do with this site yet...maybe I'll have some other people post their thoughts on here. That's kinda what I'm aiming for this to be...a place for people to post things to get others to think.
This past week was the Southern New England District's youth convention! I'm sure this goes for all conventions...but when you go, they should make you think. Everything they talk about...may not be directly pertinent to you and the things you are going through in your life. But one thought, one phrase may be directly for you. When a thought keeps floating through your head...don't just scoff it off as being stuck in your mind. Take a second to ponder why it may be floating around in your head.
I feel I should take a moment to explain why the blog is entitled as it is. During convention, I went to a worship workshop lead by the conventions worship band. And the lead guy gave the points that we as worshipers need to be F.A.T. That is one of the most important things you can be for your church and it's leaders. F.A.T. stands for Faithful. Available. Teachable. Being F.A.T. not only pertains to the way we worship, but to most aspects of our life.
Think about those three points and what they mean to your life. Be faithful in staying connected to God and to His followers. Be available to help (whether it's in the lime light or back stage), and always remember that we as humans are constantly being put into situations where we can learn.
Now...here's a lesson to learn - don't procrastinate when you have papers to write...because if you do...you end up with a TON of work (like I do right now)...and it's not your best. :-]
Later y'all.
